Responsibilities

Analyze, support and maintain strategic bespoke business platforms in a hybrid hosting environment, across AWS Cloud and on-prem
Provide engineering support of functional and performance issues on a range of applications
Prepare changes, scripting, monitor and schedule updates to optimize operations
Conduct performance analysis and tuning in of application servers, database tiers and infrastructure
Participate and collaborate across multi-functional groups in the operational support model
Participate in the Operational Excellence strategy, including strategic monitoring and LEAN process improvement
Install and configure new releases into Test and Production environments
Coordinate the Release process with business groups, vendors and operations
Communicate detailed descriptions of functionality changes and provide follow-up support as required
Maintain applications, and Configure/Develop new system functionality
Administer and resolve support requests coming from application users
Create and run ad-hoc database queries / Reports
Effectively Communicate with the user community
Maintain existing interfaces, and Design and Develop application interfaces as required
Maintain working knowledge of technical enhancements and new functionality
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues at the OS, Database, and SQL code levels
Develop and execute database queries to manage tables
Create, Copy, Move, and Delete databases
Oversee technical environments including databases, application servers, and web servers
Participate into QA and Stress Testing
Provide direction and support to the Business Divisions for User Acceptance Testing
Create Test Cases and coordinate execution of the Test Plans

Required

You have a Bachelors' Degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
Around 1 year experience in Enterprise Development or Application Support
Experience supporting 3rd party vendor applications and interfaces
Experience supporting and operating Cloud environments, preferably AWS
Strong experience with RDBMS, SQL and PL/SQL
Knowledge of Windows, UNIX (Solaris, Linux), basic networking
Demonstrated knowledge and skill with managing change
Customer-focused, flexible and comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced global environment
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
Strong listening, questioning and analytic skills
Excellent oral/written communication skills

Preferred

Experience with Python coding, PowerShell scripting, shell scripting and cloud formation is a plus
AWS or other cloud certifications is beneficial
