Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District is seeking interns to assist the Laboratory with increased seasonal workload and coverage for absences. Interns will receive training in environmental analysis and health and safety procedures while performing laboratory testing and support duties.

Responsibilities

The interns will be assigned to a specific analytical section of the laboratory
Their training program will include laboratory health and safety procedures, basic environmental laboratory quality control requirements, software used in their assigned area, and basic methodology
In addition to performing laboratory testing, interns will perform support duties, such as sample and reagent preparation, data analysis and entry, and glassware washing

Qualification

Required

Students should be majoring in a science discipline
Minimum of two semesters of college chemistry or biology laboratory courses
Basic computer skills

Preferred

Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not required
