The position focuses on water and wastewater treatment projects from planning, design, construction, and O&M assessments, providing an opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team and develop into a licensed professional engineer.

Responsibilities
Work on engineering planning and design projects
Preparation of technical memoranda and reports
Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
Prepare permits in support of the designs
Develop plans and specifications
System modeling
Data entry and analysis
Provide engineering services during construction
Participate in field activities
Prepare Maintenance and Capital Improvement Plans using NEXGEN’s Industry Leading EAM Software
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and associated coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Engineer-in-Training Certification
Work well in a team environment
Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
Preferred
Familiarity with computer applications including Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Sketchup, and use of AI tools to support project work
