Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to lead and oversee environmental assessments and compliance efforts. The role involves preparing permitting applications and analyzing environmental data for various projects, including power generation and oil & gas activities.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee conducting environmental assessments

Supporting environmental compliance efforts

Preparing permitting applications

Analyzing environmental data for various types of projects

Taking the lead role and acting as a Project Manager for technical reports

Preparation of a wide variety of permitting applications

Leading environmental site investigations

Support erosion control efforts

Subsurface soil sampling

Building, establishing and maintaining client relationships

All other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Water Quality, Geology, Biology, Soil Science, Environmental Engineering or a related natural science degree from an accredited program required

At least 8 years of experience working in the environmental consulting field

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information

Experience overseeing environmental site assessment methods

Experience overseeing environmental compliance and compliance audits

Experience overseeing environmental permitting process

Working knowledge of ArcGIS

Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Valid driver's license required. In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy
