Responsibilities
Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition, keeping the cart fully stocked with required cleaning supplies
Responsible for removal of all waste including regular rubbish, cardboard, recycle confidential paper, hazardous material
Follow proper procedures concerning hazardous waste disposal and handling
Cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms completely
Replenishes all supplies: soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and paper towels
Daily disinfecting of (all assigned areas) offices, corridors, elevators, stairwells, patient rooms and cleaning/making beds that are vacant due to patient discharge or transfer
Performs project work such as wall washing, window washing, curtain changing with use of ladder, cleaning of waste containers, floor buffing, refinishing floors, floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning
Operation of heavy-duty electrical equipment: wet vacuums, extractors, buffers, floor machines, auto scrubbers, upholstery machines, pressure washers, vacuums, steamers
Sweeps, mops, wet-washes, and vacuums floors
Moves furniture and completes conference room setups
Collects soiled linens and transports to laundry; returns clean linen to proper linen closets
Turns and changes mattresses and completes bed moves
Disinfects areas by scrubbing or wiping
Completes assigned work orders
Operates hospital dump truck to move supplies, furniture, or transport waste to the compactors
Reports any mechanical failures and negative conditions
Provide Training to new or current employees when needed
Performs Other Duties As Required
Qualification
Required
High School diploma preferred
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
