Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the day-to-day and overall functions of the Engineered Ceramics division for the Atomization business of Linde Advanced Material Technologies
Leadership of the Engineered Ceramics group will consist of running new product introduction (NPI) projects and orders driven by customers through the technical and operations team
Provide technical guidance and leadership on project direction
You will have a customer-facing role in which technical conversations about product goals, timelines, performance are communicated to drive growth of Engineered Ceramics
An ability to articulate complex ideas and problems to customers and shareholders is highly advantageous
This role also has a public-facing role aspect participation in technical conferences through presentation, observation, or exhibit may be necessary
Comfort in public speaking of technical subjects in an articulate and professional manner would be required
Collaboration with academic institutions on NPI or external funding may also be required from time to time
An ability to write proposals with task orientation and experience in writing technical papers and proposals is a plus

Required

Advanced degree in Materials Science discipline required
5-10 years of total experience in engineering and technical field required
Working knowledge of ceramic materials including TBC's, EBC's, SOFC materials required
Proven ability of effective problem-solving and analytical capability
Demonstrate a track record of innovative thinking and technical accomplishments
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a multidisciplinary environment or in a public technical setting
Comfort in public speaking of technical subjects in an articulate and professional manner required
Ability to articulate complex ideas and problems to customers and shareholders is highly advantageous
Collaboration with academic institutions on NPI or external funding may also be required from time to time

Preferred

PhD in Materials Science discipline
Experience in management of technical team
Experience in writing technical papers and proposals
