Assistant Project Manager
Milestone Contractors is a privately held, family-owned business specializing in heavy construction. The Assistant Project Manager assists in the planning and administration of heavy civil/highway projects, ensuring compliance with project schedules and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities
Assists with project administration
Supports completion of project documentation, accurately and on time
Contributes to project schedule; ensure timely completion of project through schedule
Aids in documentation of utility relocation efforts
Ensures compliance and contract obligations are met
Develops strong knowledge of all project plans, specs, subcontracts, PO's, shop drawings, submittals
Ability to work on multiple projects with differing scopes and specifications
Communicates effectively
Develops effective working relationships with owner, subs, and suppliers
Contributes at project meetings
Facilitates collaboration among owner, subs, suppliers, and company personnel
Maintains safe work environment
Exhibits safe work behaviors
Wears all prescribed PPE
Enforces all company safety policies
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills
Qualification
Required
Assists with project administration

Valid Drivers license Required
Travel is primarily local during business day; some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required
Works in a variety of conditions
Ability to work in extreme conditions including; rain, snow, heat and cold
Ability to work in construction job sites
Travels to and traverses job site(s), which can include asphalt, gravel, hills, slopes and uneven terrain
Possess excellent stamina to work between 8-12 hours per day
Uses iPads, laptops and cellular phones daily
Sits in motor vehicle and drives from site to site
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
Passion for infrastructure development and the Heavy Highway industry
Knowledge of or interest in Heavy Highway construction practices and trends
Experience in the heavy highway construction preferred
