Boeing is a leading aerospace company committed to innovation and collaboration. They are seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Air Force Research Lab in advancing Space Domain Awareness capabilities using ground-based telescopes at the Starfire Optical Range.

Responsibilities

Assists engineers and senior technicians with efforts such as optical alignment

Serve as a crew member for tests, being trained in optics and lasers, telescope operator, camera operator, or atmospheric operator

Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems

Maintains labs to Air Force standards for Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), HAZMAT, ESD, property, and equipment maintenance

Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down

Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems

Required

2+ years of experience in engineering technician, construction or facilities maintenance disciplines

2+ years of experience working with powered hand tools or equipment

Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
