Web Developer (Volunteer)
Seeds of Hope Silicon Valley (SoHSV) is a non-profit organization focused on addressing homelessness in Santa Clara County. As a Volunteer Web Developer, you will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of the organization’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly and engaging for visitors, donors, and supporters.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the team to design and implement web features and functionality that align with the organization's mission
Maintain, troubleshoot, and update the organization’s website regularly to ensure it is responsive and user-friendly
Ensure the website adheres to accessibility and security best practices
Assist with the integration of third-party tools (e.g., donation platforms, volunteer management systems)
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the website or server
Implement SEO strategies to improve the website’s visibility and reach
Provide technical support and guidance to non-technical team members as needed
Collaborate with other team members on digital marketing, including email campaigns, blog posts, and social media integration
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks)
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and website hosting platforms
Experience with responsive design and mobile-first principles
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
A passion for technology and an interest in supporting the mission of a non-profit
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
Preferred
Experience with Wix CMS
Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques
Experience working with non-profit organizations or community-based projects
