TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking a Lead Communications Technician to supervise and coordinate crews on major voice and data installation projects. The role involves ensuring job completion according to quality and safety standards while maintaining team efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate crews on major voice and data installation projects
Ensure adherence to company and customer safety and quality guidelines
Conduct weekly safety meetings and provide performance feedback
Coordinate with Project Manager to maintain productivity and budget compliance
Complete all required project paperwork accurately and on time
Perform quality checks and prepare red-lined as-built drawings
Serve as the main on-site customer contact and attend construction meetings
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed

Qualification

Telecommunications experienceSupervisory experienceBlueprint interpretationMicrosoft Office proficiencyFiber terminationUniversal communications color codesTelecom tools usageStructured cabling experienceTroubleshooting skills

Required

Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications or related technical/construction field
At least 6 months of supervisory or managerial experience
Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project)
Knowledge of universal communications color codes
Ability to terminate fiber and use standard telecom tools
High school diploma or GED

Preferred

Experience with ISP projects and structured cabling
Familiarity with rack and stack, punchdowns, and troubleshooting
