Responsibilities
Serve as liaison across business, and technology teams, tailoring communication to varied audiences
Build and maintain trust with internal and external partners, facilitating collaboration across functional silos
Drive productive discussions that surface assumptions, challenge requirements when necessary, and maintain scope integrity throughout project delivery
Present complex concepts and findings clearly and concisely to senior executives and operational teams alike
Conduct discovery efforts to understand existing processes, identify inefficiencies, gaps, redundancies and define clear problem statements and root causes
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendor partners to define requirements, document business and functional specifications, and align solutions with business objectives
Lead the evaluation process by introducing well-considered solution options, outlining trade-offs, and guiding stakeholders toward decisions that balance efficiency, scalability, and time-to-market
Develop process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation that capture and clarify design, development, and testing activities
Translate complex processes into clear, visual narratives that effectively communicate insights, purpose, and impact to diverse audiences
Analyze the impact of deploying new technologies or systems while ensuring business continuity and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC)
Perform light technical validation by reviewing JSON payloads, API request/response structures, or message schemas to ensure alignment with business rules and requirements
Execute basic SQL queries to profile data, validate assumptions, confirm edge cases, or support discovery and impact analysis
Collaborate with API developers and data teams to translate business requirements into API parameters, data fields, and integration patterns
Support and potentially participate in execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing
Interacting with software development and IT QA, developing and reviewing test cases, managing execution, and validating outcomes
Collaborate with business and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation and adoption of new systems and processes
Monitor post-implementation performance, identify enhancement opportunities, contribute to roadmaps and continuous improvement cycles
Support technical testing activities by validating data flows, reviewing API responses, or confirming SQL-based transformations match functional expectations
Assist QA teams in defining test data and scenarios, using basic queries or payload inspection to ensure coverage of real-world edge cases
Develop client relationships built on integrity, transparency, and a delivery mindset to become a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through change with empathy and insight
Use a consultative approach to influence decisions, helping stakeholders arrive at optimal solutions
Anticipate potential roadblocks and proactively propose creative, compliant, and pragmatic solutions
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of core banking systems, operational workflows, and compliance frameworks
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across varying levels of technical and business sophistication
Skilled in business process analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and scope management
Proven ability to break down complex problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop actionable solutions
Quick learner with demonstrated ability to become an expert in new client systems, processes, and terminology
Ability to bridge business and technology, validating that data structures, API specifications, and system behaviors support business workflows and regulatory outcomes
Consultative and collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively
Strong sense of ownership and accountability; willing to roll up sleeves and be hands-on
Detail-oriented and disciplined—comfortable balancing strategic and tactical work
Resilient and focused under pressure; able to manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred
Experience with Banking operations: retail, commercial, business experience
Experience with Core Ecosystems: Familiarity with platforms such as Fiserv, Finxact, Bottomline, Q2, Savana is a plus
Comfortable working with technical artifacts, including SQL queries, JSON objects, API payloads, and system interface specifications
Regulatory Awareness: Working knowledge of BSA/AML and OFAC requirements
Tool Familiarity: Experience with Jira, Miro, Figma, Lucid, and/or Visio preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years' experience in business architecture, business analysis, or solution design within the financial services or fintech industry
