Propulsion Technician B Second Shift – Millennium Space Systems

Responsibilities

Weld, assemble, install, test, route/terminate/stake/wrap thermistors, heaters, non‐flight thermocouples and heaters on spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures
Checkout and inspect propulsion assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, and test procedures
Capable of operating a wide range of tools. Included but not limited to, orbital tube welding machines, tack welding machines, drill press, grinders, power, and hand tools
Interfaces and/or works closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement and Shipping personnel on procedural issues involving design, methods, tooling, cost, and other areas involved in the control of product quality
Travel maybe required to support operations identified by program being supported
Support in areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as business needs require
Other duties as assigned, these duties will not conflict with other job classifications
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required

Required

High School Diploma or GED
6 months' experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training
Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required
Strong attention to detail
Mechanically and mathematically inclined
Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software
Ability to read schematics
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required

Preferred

Experience working in a 100,000 Class clean room
Orbital Tube welding experience
Harness assembly and routing experience
Thermal system component installation experience
