Network Engineer Intermediate
Beyond20 is a company that supports the management and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure for Department of Defense clients. The Network Engineer Intermediate role involves assisting with network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls on a closed restricted network
Monitor network performance and provide initial troubleshooting for connectivity and security issues before escalating to the senior engineer
Support the management of VLANs, VPNs, and other network segmentation techniques under supervision
Apply and enforce network security measures to comply with DoD cybersecurity standards
Ensure compliance with DoD IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Foundational knowledge of network architectures (LAN/WAN, routing, switching)
Familiarity with network security concepts such as firewalls and VPNs
Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High school Diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of relevant experience
CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Cisco CCNA certification (or in progress)
A security clearance may be required
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in informational technology or similar discipline
Prior experience supporting DoD and/or Federal government customers
Familiarity with Microsoft environments (MD-102 is a plus)
