Responsibilities
Analyze project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to generate accurate estimates
Evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs for glass and glazing systems
Prepare bid packages and pricing proposals in accordance with company guidelines
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and cost expectations
Utilize construction knowledge to identify potential risks and propose value engineering solutions
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and construction methods
Work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality estimates
Assist in client meetings to discuss proposals and provide expert advice when needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably with expertise in glass and glazing systems
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Proficient in estimation software and tools, with strong MS Office skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred
Prior experience utilizing Glass Manager preferred
