New GradWe Make Change is a startup promoting fairer renting through their platform Houstory, which empowers renters with transparent housing histories. They are seeking a Community Outreach & Growth Coordinator to connect with communities, particularly colleges and universities, to promote housing equity and engage potential renters.

Responsibilities
Identify & Research: Map out key colleges, universities, and student organizations in Maryland and NYC where rental transparency is a high priority
Social & Forum Outreach: Engage in Reddit groups, local forums, and online communities to share Houstory’s mission and spark interest in our upcoming launch
Content Support: Review outreach materials and marketing content to ensure they are authentic, people-centered, and clear
Physical Visibility: Coordinate "guerrilla" marketing tactics, such as arranging for Houstory fliers and stickers to be sent to and displayed on campuses
Community Building: Actively grow the Houstory "betalist" to ensure a robust test group for our app launch
Qualification
Required
A passion for housing transparency and social impact
A 'digital native' who is comfortable navigating Reddit and niche community forums
Strong communication skills with an ability to represent Houstory's values of integrity and empowerment
Reliable and organized, able to commit 5–10 hours of self-directed work per week
