Business Development Manager - HI&I
MK Search is partnering with a fast-growing, innovative specialty chemicals company to appoint a Business Development Manager focused on the Home, Industrial & Institutional (HI&I) cleaning market in the United States. The successful candidate will drive growth for a differentiated portfolio of high-performance, bio-based ingredients used in modern cleaning formulations and will play a key role in expanding the companyโs U.S. footprint.
Responsibilities
Lead business development activities across the U.S. HI&I market
Identify and close new business opportunities with formulators, manufacturers, and distributors
Manage complex, formulation-driven sales cycles from initial engagement through commercialization
Collaborate with technical and R&D teams to support customer evaluations and trials
Build long-term customer relationships focused on value, performance, and sustainability
Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
Qualification
Required
8โ15+ years of experience in HI&I, specialty chemicals, or ingredients sales
Strong understanding of HI&I chemicals (e.g. solvents, surfactants, functional ingredients)
Proven ability to sell differentiated, value-added solutions
Self-motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable operating autonomously
Willingness to travel within the U.S
Preferred
Technical background in chemistry or chemical engineering
