Responsibilities

Implements basic solutions requirements and functional specifications that support integrated and sustainable designs for designated infrastructure systems based on input from more senior level engineers

Works with more senior level engineers to assist with the implementation of flexible, scalable, and maintainable system designs

Assists more senior level engineers with infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture for assigned systems

Assists in writing clear technical specifications and documentation

Assists in the modification or enhancement of existing infrastructure solutions within designated computing environments with guidance from more senior level engineers

Assists with the development of system design prototypes

Assists with building hardware and/or software configurations and prepares system components for installation to the infrastructure

Participates in the development, validation, and execution of basic infrastructure tests to identify system errors and ensure solutions meet functional specifications

Assists more senior level engineers to deliver validated and tested systems

Participates in the evaluation of existing systems and informs recommendations on resources required to maintain or expand service levels

Assists in the evaluation of new service options, identification of issues, and impacts

Provides post-implementation support, helping to make system enhancements with direction from more senior level engineers

Required

High School or GED and completion of relevant coursework or program focused on infrastructure or related skills

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field

Experience in an infrastructure development environment

JNCIA and/or CCNA certified
