GPAC is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. They are seeking a Workers Compensation Attorney to defend claims against employers and manage a caseload while representing clients in various legal proceedings.

Responsibilities
Defend claims against employers in nearly every industry
Represent the interest of the client with the support of one or more partners
Handle a caseload
Manage deadlines
Conduct depositions of parties, lay witnesses, medical providers and experts
Represent clients in mediations
Draft briefs and motions
Prepare for and conduct and argue in hearings before an administrative commission
Perform legal analysis on new and existing claims
Investigate cases
Review and analyze medical records
Develop case strategy
Respond to discovery
Draft motions
Take depositions
Attend hearings
Attend mediations
Negotiate settlements
Create and submit reports required by the client
Negotiate settlements on behalf of the client
Qualification
Required
3 - 6 years' experience in Workers' Compensation Defense Litigation required
Candidates with less than 5 years' experience are required to submit a writing sample
Currently licensed in state of North Carolina
Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills
Have strong research, writing and verbal communication skills
Be able to work independently
Preferred
Strong writers with deposition and mediation experience preferred
Prefer candidates that are organized and self-motivated
