Diagnose & repair automotive components such as engines, steering
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to find problems
Fix and maintain key systems like the engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, suspension, steering, and A/C
Talk with the Service Advisor to explain what else the car may need and how long repairs will take
Must comply with manufacturer guidelines
Qualification
Required
Ford Certification Required. (If you are working towards certification, you will be considered.)
High school diploma or equivalent training
2+ years as an automotive service technician required
Previous experience at a dealership
Strong skills in diagnostics, electrical work, and engine repair
Able to use scan tools and other diagnostic equipment
Willing to learn and keep up with new tools, technology, and repair methods
Team player who works well in a busy shop
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
