Responsibilities
Be the cornerstone of the US Intelligence Origination function, maintaining and expanding a trusted network across private equity, investment banking, advisory, and sponsor-side communities
Hire, onboard and mentor a team of high-performing reporters across the US
Uncover proprietary, off-record insights and convert them into structured intelligence that powers one of the sector’s fastest-growing platforms
Work outside the restraints of a traditional reporting role: no filing copy, no press releases, no daily deadlines. Your success is measured entirely by the quality, depth, and exclusivity of the intelligence you bring in
Collaborate with analysts and research teams to turn raw deal information into a genuine market advantage for clients, enabling them to originate opportunities earlier, benchmark more accurately, and make materially better-informed decisions
Qualification
Required
Experience as a highly networked M&A and/or M&A financing reporter with a clear reputation for breaking news, particularly in the upper-mid-market and large-cap segments
Highly familiar with US M&A, private equity-related deal processes, and/or private credit transactions
Leadership qualities and the ambition to shape and scale a new function
An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating independently in a first-on-the-ground role
