Responsibilities
Conduct walkthrough audits and reviews of health and safety procedures; identify hazards, recommend improvements, and recognize strong safety performance
Partner with Area Operations Manager, Site Operations Managers, and HR to develop and monitor safety performance metrics and goals
Engage both salaried and hourly employees to reinforce safe behaviors throughout the organization
Provide ongoing support and guidance to facility personnel to maintain a safe work environment aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements
Serve as a resource on MSHA, OSHA, and related regulatory compliance matters
Compile, analyze, and interpret incident and loss data; recommend corrective actions to support continuous improvement and progress toward zero injuries
Participate in safety reviews and audits for projects, new facilities, equipment, and processes in collaboration with Engineering and Operations teams
Assist with root cause analyses for accidents, incidents, and near-miss events; support development, implementation, and follow-up of corrective actions to ensure long-term effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and training
Minimum of 2 years of progressive health and safety or operations experience, ideally in manufacturing, mining, or construction
MSHA experience desired; OSHA/DOT experience strongly preferred
Preferred
Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CMSS, CIH)
