You will also coach mid-level and junior designers to become better design systems designers

Required

6+ years of experience working in user experience, product, or relevant design field

3+ years experience working in an explicit design systems role

User-Centered Design approach, design interfaces that prioritise user needs, behaviors, and Accessibility

Knowledge of Design Systems, developing and maintaining design systems for consistency across large platforms

Interaction Design experience, creating engaging experiences with animations, transitions, and micro-interactions

Visual Design Skills, has mastery of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy

Excellent proficiency with relevant tools, standards and frameworks (Figma, Design Tokens, WCAG etc.)

Experience working with diverse stakeholders in a large organization - designers, engineers, and product managers

High-level understanding or experience with frontend development concepts (HTML/CSS/JS)

Preferred

Past projects that showcase major systems evolution or expansion (such as redesigns, theming, modes, platforms, or a11y/i18n)

Prior experience designing for consumer-facing products

Visual design skills

Understanding of technology stacks and their design implications
