Symbotic is an automation technology leader reimagining the supply chain with its end-to-end, AI-powered robotic and software platform. The Senior Reporting Specialist – R&D will support the Chief Technology Officer and the Project Costing team by managing project budgets, performing data analysis, developing KPIs, and ensuring financial health of R&D projects.

Responsibilities

Manag e project cost control, R&D data collection, and reporting

Suppor t risk management, change management, and budget control

Implement new "estimate at complete" processes for R&D spend

Assist in the consolidation of the R&D site portfolio

Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business costing

Report on project budgets, actuals, forecasts, and variances

Approve purchase requisitions and change management related to R&D

Track project tasks and monitor variances to budget

Formulate and track risks and opportunities

Drive cost reduction efforts and opportunities within the organization

Develop automated KPI reporting for the CTO via Power BI/Tableau

Apply Earned Value and Task Management to R&D projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of Indirect or Project Management experience (through finance or functionality)

Excellent organization, attention to detail, analytical and abstract reasoning skills

Ability to construct a budget

Ability to work in a team environment

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints

Ability to thrive in a dynamic business environment that requires rapid learning, multitasking and prioritization of deliverables

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days per week based in Wilmington, MA office)

Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis
