Siemens Energy is an energy technology company dedicated to developing sustainable energy systems. They are seeking an Operations Engineer to focus on operational data analysis, testing preparation, and resolving technical issues for their Gas Turbine products.

Responsibilities

Testing preparation and field validation including testing at test-bed and customer sites

Lead and facilitate fast resolution of technical issues of sold GTs. This includes evaluation of a root cause, solution development and implementation followed by verification/validation

Operational data analysis of new units to identify trends and potential issues

Technical definition of Gas Turbine (GT) Operation Modes (e.g. Load Gradients, Grid-Code, Additional Features, Control System)

Close interaction and alignment with GT Module Engineering, Auxiliary/ controls and BOP

Creation of related technical documentation

Analysis of related technical risks

Support of offering (Negotiation) process for GT projects with focus on GT operation

Support of COE projects for first time applications

10-25% travel is expected in support of customer meetings, site walk-downs, vendor support, testing, and product implementation

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university/college

Minimum 8+ years of successful experience in a gas turbine development environment with extensive understanding of gas turbine design, operational aspects & improvement levers

Strong communications skills, network building, and solid engineering background
