Responsibilities
Oversee state and local tax compliance and consulting engagements
Provide guidance on complex tax issues and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality tax solutions
Coach, mentor, and review work of staff and seniors; provide clear expectations, timely feedback, and tailored development plans
Partner with Firm Directors, Assurance, and Client Service teams to integrate SALT considerations into broader client strategies
Deliver internal training sessions on SALT fundamentals, legislative updates, and best practices; promote knowledge sharing and a culture of excellence
Qualification
Required
CPA required
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in state and local taxation, preferably in a public accounting firm
Strong technical knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in CCH software
Excellent communication and leadership skills
