Education Management
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in chemical engineering, with a particular focus on lab and design courses
Develop, update, and manage laboratory curricula and experiments
Supervise undergraduate student projects and capstone design experiences
Maintain and improve experimental facilities, equipment, and safety protocols
Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and program assessment
Engage in professional development and/or applied research related to experimental chemical engineering education
Provide academic advising and mentoring to students as needed
Service activities as needed by the department and the university
Developing a research program involving and suited for undergraduate student participation
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
Demonstrated experience with experimental methods and lab instruction
Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to the mission of the University of St. Thomas
Preferred
Industry or academic experience with chemical process equipment, instrumentation, or laboratory management
Familiarity with process safety, data acquisition systems, and chemical analysis techniques
Prior experience in curriculum or lab development at the university level
Industry experience and a PE license
