Responsibilities

Design, configure, implement, and optimize Checkpoint firewall solutions across enterprise environments

Manage and maintain Checkpoint management/control plane (SmartCenter, Multi-Domain) and logging (SmartEvent, Log Server/Security Management)

Provide SME-level guidance on firewall policies, rule base architectures (NAT, VPNs, IPS/IDS)

Act as senior escalation resource for complex firewall/security incidents

Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations, handling incidents and off-hours maintenance

Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews

Maintain detailed documentation (policies, procedures, architectures)

Stay current on emerging security technologies, threats, and industry best practices

Qualification

Checkpoint CertificationCheckpoint FirewallTCP/IPScriptingAutomationCommunication SkillsCross-Functional Leadership

Required

5+ years of hands-on experience with Checkpoint (R80.x or newer preferred)

Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems

Proven track record deploying and troubleshooting large-scale firewalls and F5 Load Balancers

Must have Checkpoint Certification and able to work On Call Rotating Shift requirement

Preferred

Must have at least one Checkpoint certification (CCSA, CCSE, CCSM)

Scripting and automation expertise for firewall administration

Strong communication and cross-functional leadership abilities
