Responsibilities
Prepare, draft, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings and legal filings
Manage foreclosure proceedings through all stages, including contested and litigated matters
Represent clients in mediations, depositions, and hearings (both telephonic and in-person)
Conduct detailed reviews of chains of title, mortgages, promissory notes, and supporting documentation
Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients, including timely case updates and guidance
Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for efficient case management
Ensure full compliance with firm procedures, state requirements, and industry standards
Participate in special projects or additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Membership in good standing with the Maine Bar Association (must-have)
Ability to manage and prioritize a substantial caseload in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Reliable, conscientious, and committed to meeting deadlines and maintaining firm expectations
Strong dedication to delivering high-quality client service
Preferred
Experience in foreclosure law or a related legal default services field
Prior experience with contested foreclosure matters, title analysis, or real estate litigation
