Lafitte Resorts, in partnership with iHire, is seeking a passionate Guest Services Representative to create exceptional guest experiences in New Orleans. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a seamless check-in/check-out process while acting as an ambassador for the vibrant culture of New Orleans.

Responsibilities

Create memorable first impressions by answering incoming reservation calls and questions
Greet and welcome all guests
Manage reservations through both telephone and online booking systems
Confirm guest arrivals via phone or email
Perform room walkthroughs in advance of guest arrivals
Execute a seamless check-in/check-out process, including luggage oversight
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests and concerns
Showing guests to their room(s)
Credit Card and Payment Processing. Ability to maintain accurate financial records
Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness and maintain accurate occupancy records
Handle administrative duties including mail collection and interdepartmental communication
Support overall hotel operations to ensure guest satisfaction
Serve as an Ambassador of the Big Easy, acting as a knowledgeable concierge and providing personalized recommendations for dining, attractions, and activities

Required

Previous front desk, concierge, hospitality, and/or customer service experience is preferred
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for guest service
Ability to problem solve and multi-task
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Google applications such as Excel or Sheets
Knowledge of CloudBeds Reservation Management System is a plus
Local and historical knowledge of New Orleans is helpful
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Professional and positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor under pressure
Appreciation for historic properties and their unique character
