8+ years expScalence L.L.C. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in PCB Design. The ideal candidate will lead PCB design projects, mentor junior engineers, and provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Provide engineering level support on assigned and unassigned projects over the life cycle of new and legacy products
Help lead 1 or more of the PCB Design projects
Mentor/coach junior electrical engineers
Provide troubleshooting, testing and EE support in the R&D department
Create and improve printed circuit board designs using Cadence design systems (Allegro)
Release projects to manufacturing by creating schematic design capture, new part numbers, detailed descriptions, and printed board assemblies (BOM structures) for new and legacy products or projects
Work within the Windchill PDM application tool to store fabrication documentation, schematics, gerber files etc
Resolve differences between design and fabrication requirements by modifying designs or sending parts back to vendors
Attend regular team meetings, including engineering change order meetings in support of manufacturing & quality assurance analysis and correction of manufacturing defects
Work collaboratively with other engineering resources, project management, purchasing etc
Suggest innovative solutions from streamlining processes to completing a backlog of tasks
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with applicable regulations and standards
Qualification
Required
8-10 Years experience in Electrical Engineering
Strong Electrical Engineer background for troubleshooting, testing and EE support
Strong Analog or Digital background in Electrical Engineering
Experience with PCB Design using Cadence design systems (Allegro)
Ability to release projects to manufacturing by creating schematic design capture, new part numbers, detailed descriptions, and printed board assemblies (BOM structures)
Experience with Windchill PDM application tool
Good understanding of control electronic Products, specifically analog and digital circuits, and power electronics circuits
Ability to lead PCB specs release in qualification and in PDM
Support qualification of electronic components such as IGBTs, Magnetics, Thyristors, AC/DC capacitors, FAN's, etc
Knowledge of test equipment, CRO, AC Source, DC Source, Auto transformers, Multimeters, Data loggers
Ability to design and implement PCB designs that meet electrical, EMC, Safety, mechanical, thermal and DFA/DFM requirements
Ability to run independent tests, with good knowledge in basic troubleshooting of products
Ability to generate alternate solutions during feasibility studies during PCB modifications
Prior experience working with design packages and product Lifecyle Management (PLM) tools
Ability to work cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Project Management
Detail Oriented: Able to accurately follow precise procedures and thoroughly complete assigned tasks
Preferred
Knowledge of Ladder Logic Client Proficy Software or Modicon Control Expert Software
