Process Engineer III

Tokyo Electron US is seeking a Process Engineer III to develop and optimize manufacturing processes. The role involves hands-on experimentation, collaboration with customers, and ensuring quality execution of processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products
Understands and exploits the physics and mechanisms of the processes running on the equipment to achieve process goals
Designs and execute process optimization experiments; characterizes, compiles, and analyzes test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment, process, or material specifications
Hands on work in the lab on the equipment and subsequent data analysis
Responsible for quality execution of all experiments and material processed through the tool, including internal process development activities and customer demonstrations
Collaborate with customer engineers and managers as a technical interface, managing input for customer demo and integration experiments
Present findings from experiments and data analysis to internal and external customers
Participate in various integration and strategic activities relevant to this product and customer with internal business units
Assist in troubleshooting field issues regarding tool performance
Work in partnership with engineering teams, product team, sales and marketing groups, and other functional areas, to prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate customer adoption and improve quality of process equipment

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5+ years professional Engineering experience or Master's degree preferred with 3+ years professional Engineering experience

Preferred

Specific experience with semiconductor equipment or similar fully automated capital equipment
Experience with gas-cluster beam and / or ion implantation technology and etch is a plus
Proven experience in the application of lean principles and formal problem-solving techniques
Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational and management skills and an analytical thinker
Position would require you to go on an extended assignment to Taiwan and work remote from that facility
