Responsibilities
Manage full life cycle of moderately complex pharmaceutical or animal health construction projects, including start-up, execution, and closeout
Lead field supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project support programs (Safety, Quality, EEO)
Coordinate daily field activities, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedule
Lead daily standups, weekly trade meetings, and project OAC meetings
Enforce JE Dunn's safety culture and protocols; investigate incidents and take corrective actions
Ensure quality compliance through specs, QA/QC processes, and industry standards
Develop, manage, and adjust project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
Maintain accurate records including daily logs, unit cost reports, inspection notebooks, and updated drawings
Supervise construction staff and subcontractors; manage timecard approvals and cost codes
Partner with field leadership to determine proper staffing and supervise their performance
Act as the on-site leader representing JE Dunn to owners, architects, engineers, and vendors
Support pursuit and marketing efforts through collaboration on presentations and client meetings
Coordinate material, equipment, and self-perform resource needs
Assist in equipment/tool selection and approval processes through MOC/DLSC systems
Monitor project risk areas; actively manage risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Participate in budget tracking, schedule changes, and financial forecasting processes
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
8+ years of commercial construction experience
5+ years of field supervision experience
Proven experience leading animal health/pharmaceutical construction projects > $50M
Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to travel or relocate as needed
Must be available to work non-traditional hours, including nights/weekends, as project needs dictate
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience implementing Lean construction principles
Understanding of JE Dunn-specific construction technology
