Responsibilities

Assist in conducting routine analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
Learn and perform basic physical, chemical, and microbiological testing procedures
Help interpret test results and identify potential trends or deviations under Site Quality Lead supervision
Support production processes by learning and applying quality control procedures
Assist in documenting and tracking minor quality issues, collaborating with production teams as directed
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities
Contribute to the preparation of basic reports on quality control activities and test results
Help maintain and update quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality manuals
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements under guidance
Participate in internal audits to observe and learn about compliance with food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, SQF, PCQI)
Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as part of a team
Participate in cross-functional team discussions to learn about and support quality-related improvements
Help implement new quality control procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Quality Lead or senior staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
Eagerness to learn and develop skills in laboratory testing and analytical equipment operation
Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to follow instructions and work diligently in a structured environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Prior internship, academic project, or coursework experience in a laboratory or quality-focused environment is a plus
Basic understanding of food safety and quality principles (e.g., HACCP, GMPs) through coursework or personal study
