Wiring Harness Component Engineer

Responsibilities
Owning projects from end to end of connector and cable technology
Communicating with suppliers on key requirements and development activities
Working with a network of craftsmen, technicians and engineers in the development of electrical and electronic systems and components
Communicating with clients and management on project progress, issues and successes
Driving practical solutions in application of the latest technologies in the industry
Qualification
Required
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives
Product Design & Development: Knowledge of and the ability to utilize design and analysis tools to convert customer and market requirements into a product design
Supplier Management: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice
Preferred
In-depth understanding of current and up-coming high speed data technology
Experience with testing equipment to validate high speed data communication performance and environmental condition robustness
A knowledge of cable and connector assembly practices in the industry
Demonstrated skill in project management
