Responsibilities

Review the System Test Requirements provided by Contract Specification and Engineering Department

Gather equipment and system performance specifications for each construction contract and incorporate those specifications into a structured test philosophy and approach

Provide Operational Test with Test Instructions and Procedures that adequately demonstrate the equipment and system performance to the External Customer that complies with the specifications/contract

Identify test documents required to be developed (Test Index) and prepare and write the Test Procedure (TP)

Utilize the application of control processes (problem reporting) to ensure quality feedback and maintain records that reflect Test Verification Records (Test Reports) in compliance with contract specifications, Quality Management and test requirements

Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment

Plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices

Provide test area with parameters for sample testing and specify tests to be performed

Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements

Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area

Required

5 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field

3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree

HS/GED with 12 yrs of related experience

12 years shipbuilding/shipboard experience

Has past experience with Technical writing

Ship Board certifications

EOSS

Tech manuals with ship specifications

Prior leadership experience

Ability to interact and present information verbally and in writing to internal and external customers

10 years shipbuilding/shipboard experience

Past experience with Technical writing
