Service Desk Analyst

Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve Tier I reliability and operations alerts for infrastructure and application services, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed
Monitor system health and performance, assisting in maintaining observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to reduce manual operational effort
Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using tools such as Terraform or Ansible under guidance from senior engineers
Collaborate with development, operations, and reliability teams to troubleshoot incidents and identify opportunities for system and process improvements
Document runbooks, incident resolutions, standard operating procedures, and automation workflows in accordance with organizational standards
Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to root cause analysis and reliability engineering recommendations
Follow established IT governance frameworks, including COBIT and ITIL, while adhering to security, risk, and compliance requirements

Required

At least 21 years of age with authorization to work in the United States
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
1–2 years of experience in IT operations, systems support, or entry-level software engineering roles
Familiarity with Linux and Windows system administration and basic networking concepts
Basic programming or scripting experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Understanding of monitoring tools, alerting systems, and log aggregation platforms
Knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, and operational support workflows
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment and escalate issues appropriately
