Responsibilities

Drive the adoption of Wide Area Network (WAN) building blocks and software infrastructure across all organizational routing products

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on WAN networking, routing, and design, focusing on the implementation of vendor features optimized for Google services

Advocate OpenConfig adoption across internal organizational platforms and throughout the broader networking industry

Cultivate a foundational team culture centered on clear communication and respectful collaboration

Facilitate consensus building and cross-functional partnerships with peers, Technical Leads (TLs), and external partners to ensure project success

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers

Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.)

Preferred

Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python
