Responsibilities
Assisting with diapering, toileting, and feeding, as needed, based on student needs
Providing close supervision and support for students who may elope or need one-on-one behavioral support
Supporting instruction during both the morning and afternoon sessions of the class
Maintaining a calm, caring, and patient demeanor helps students feel safe and regulated
Assisting with daily routines, transitions, and the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; some districts require an Associate's degree or passing of a Paraprofessional exam
Ability to follow IEPs and behavior plan
Trained or willing to be trained in CPI
Preferred
Experience with students with disabilities preferred
