Responsibilities

Assist in preparing accurate and timely individual and company tax filings

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations

Review payroll and other tax data and financials for completeness and accuracy

Communicate clearly with team regarding tax positions, deadlines, and requirements

Build and maintain strong, professional team relationships

Respond to team inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner

Conduct detailed tax research to ensure accurate interpretation of tax laws

Stay current on changes in tax legislation and best practices

Attend training and continuing education to maintain EA credentials

Work closely with other tax professionals and staff

Mentor and assist junior team members when needed

Contribute to process improvement and quality-control initiatives
