Responsibilities
Build and lead an engineering team to support the scaling of manufacturing operations and automation systems
Create a roadmap from prototype assembly to high-volume manufacturing capabilities of new factory
Partner with automation team to select capital equipment, determine layouts, and advise on test processes to reduce cycle times and error rates
Serve as partner to Original Equipment Makes to develop custom, fully integrated manufacturing solutions
Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality engineering teams to test, pilot, and ramp-up automation systems
Guide production through the prototype phase and ramp-up to high-volume manufacturing capabilities
Responsible for capacity planning, time studies, space optimization in production
And test during DfX reviews, addressing any bottlenecks or defect issues
Use reporting tools and data acquisition (MES) to monitor equipment/production lines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; or related technical field
4+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience. Industry experience MUST include server rack build operations
Experience leading NPI and test development/automation in production environments
Experience developing and scaling factory floor layouts for high volume manufacturing
Applied knowledge of DFM, process validation, and continuous improvement
Proficient with manufacturing documentation including management of BOMs, ECNs, and MES systems
Ability to lead engineering teams through engineering, design, and production validation testing (EVT/DVT/PVT)
Preferred
Process automation knowledge is an advantage but not required for this role
