LHH is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and document support to attorneys and paralegals within their Litigation practice group. The role involves multitasking and requires professionalism while managing document preparation, administrative support, and client interaction.

Responsibilities

Document Preparation & Management
Draft, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and spreadsheets
Maintain accurate filing systems, organize case files, and ensure timely document delivery
Prepare final documents for distribution via mail, courier, or electronic platforms
Administrative Support
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
Screen and route phone calls, acting as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and external contacts
Open new matters, perform conflict checks, and maintain client files
Process expense reports, reimbursements, and other administrative forms
Case & Time Management
Enter attorney time into the firm’s timekeeping system
Track deadlines, monitor case progress, and assist with trial preparation
Coordinate resources for meetings, including conference rooms and vendor services
Client & Team Interaction
Provide courteous and professional communication with clients, colleagues, and external parties
Assist with internal and client-facing meetings, ensuring all materials and logistics are prepared
Additional Duties
Research factual information online as directed
Support other team members as needed, promoting collaboration and efficiency
Handle special projects and tasks assigned by attorneys or supervisors

Required

Strong typing ability (minimum 70 wpm) with high accuracy
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems preferred
Excellent grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
Professional demeanor with strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

College degree preferred
Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment, ideally supporting litigation
Interest in developing a long-term career in the legal field
