They are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to serve as the technical lead for data analysis, integration, and warehousing initiatives, translating complex business and system requirements into scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering and translate functional needs into data models and interface specifications
Design logical and physical data models to support enterprise reporting and analytics
Create, document, and maintain data integration and data flow specifications
Develop and maintain data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and load strategies
Support the integration of financial, human resources, and legacy system data into centralized repositories
Monitor database performance, data integrity, and validation activities
Collaborate with business, development, and operations teams to improve data accessibility and consistency
Provide expert advice on data warehousing best practices and modernization opportunities
Generate documentation, diagrams, and data dictionaries to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer

Active Secret Clearance required
This position requires 5 days onsite in Dahlgren, VA. Please note that up to 40% remote work may become available but this determination will be made at a later stage
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Physics, or Mathematics and a Master's degree in Operations Research or Mathematics
Six (6) years of professional experience in analysis, design, and development related to data warehousing and data integration
Experience developing requirements definitions and application designs including logical data models, data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, structured query language (SQL), database performance loading specifications, and data validation specifications
Experience with data warehouse development and design, data knowledge acquisition, legacy system conversion, and the design of data structures and load specifications
Knowledge of Working Capital Fund (WCF) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial and human resources systems, including methods and strategies for effective data warehousing
Expertise in data modeling, data mapping, and ETL design
Ability to develop and optimize SQL queries for large, complex datasets
Experience with data validation, quality assurance, and performance optimization
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences
Collaborative mindset and commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement
Preferred
Proficiency with tools such as SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, or Tableau
Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and ETL frameworks
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights
