Assistant Director of Marketing & Revenue Strategy

The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science is seeking an Assistant Director of Marketing & Revenue Strategy to join their Marketing & Revenue Strategy unit within Maryland Athletics. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to drive ticket sales and donor revenues, as well as enhancing fan engagement and the Maryland Athletics brand.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Director of Development Marketing & Revenue Strategy in the creation and execution of comprehensive communication and marketing strategies for all areas of athletics ticketing and development
Lead execution of revenue-generating events and promotional activities, including providing group sales marketing support to the sales team
Executing select gameday/donor engagement events
Developing special revenue campaigns
Direct marketing oversight of the Student Terrapin Club and Next Gen Terps programs
Management of the main Terrapin Club social media channels
Assisting the Manager of Digital Marketing & Revenue Generation with email execution and deployment
Development and oversight of a student internship program to support revenue initiatives
Collaboration with Fan Development & Event Marketing, Development, Strategic Communications & Content Development, Broadcasting & Production, Facilities, Operations & Events and other units to support revenue initiatives
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
One (1) year of experience in a professional setting
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administrative structure and responsibilities
Knowledge of athletics policies and procedures and federal, state, and other applicable, related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances
Skill in oral and written communication
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
Ability to multitask and prioritize within unit and department environment as well manage large-scale athletics-related projects

Preferred

Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably within a collegiate or professional athletic department
