Responsibilities
Play a significant role in the research, planning and development of strategic and creative corporate communications programs
Maintain strong relationships with business, technology and industry media
Manage the execution of PR programs and campaigns around financial transactions, new product launches, milestones, and maintain momentum between such news events
Develop client content, including contributed articles, press releases, media pitches, and digital content
Proactive media relations to achieve quality, high-impact placements on a regular basis
Maintain and enhance client relations
Understand the client’s overall business objectives and strategies in order to effectively promote specific narratives
Involvement with new business efforts, including playing an active role in pitches and the drafting of pitch and proposal materials
Qualification
Required
6-8 years of relevant agency or client side PR experience, showing proven editorial placements in business and technology media
Demonstrates ability to effectively manage clients and accounts, including managing junior staff, client issues, managing programs to budgets, etc
Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly under pressure, handling and prioritizing multiple assignments
A media relations superstar – expert understanding of the media landscape, strong relationships with journalists and demonstrates an ability to consistently deliver client success in the media
Creative and energetic personality
Collaborative spirit, to guide team members around specific tasks and support their professional development
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up
Understanding of enterprise technology trends and evolving PR landscape (earned/owned/paid media)
B.S/B.A degree. Areas of study including public relations, marketing, business communications or related field
Preferred
Previous experience working with enterprise technology and financial tech clients highly preferred
