Responsibilities
Conduct NDT inspections using Level II Shear Wave Ultrasound (UT-SW) and potentially other certified methods (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT)
Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, and other industry standards
Prepare accurate reports detailing inspection results and findings
Assist in training and mentoring NDT Technician 1 personnel
Perform equipment calibrations to maintain accuracy and compliance
Work directly with engineers, project managers, and clients to communicate findings and recommendations
Maintain detailed records and documentation of testing and inspections
Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific requirements
Qualification
Required
Level II certification in Shear Wave Ultrasound (UT)
2+ years of experience performing NDT inspections
Strong knowledge of NDT techniques, codes, and industry standards (ASME, ASTM, API, AWS)
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to work in field and industrial environments, including confined spaces and elevated heights
Must pass an FBI fingerprint-based background check
Preferred
Additional Level II certifications in other NDT methods (MT, PT, RT, VT)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Effective written and verbal communication for reporting and client interactions
