Responsibilities
Program and configure PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA systems
Program and configure industrial robotics and integrated vision systems
Design, integrate, and implement automated equipment
Develop software and hardware design specifications
Design, write, test, and document PLC and HMI software
Produce control narratives, logic diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, and network diagrams
Develop and execute control system validation and testing protocols
Troubleshoot, test, and commission control systems on-site
Participate in site visits and client meetings as required
Consult with clients to ensure successful project delivery
Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, clients, and third parties
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in control systems design and programming (PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics)
Experience with PLC platforms such as Modicon, Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, Codesys, or similar
Experience with Rockwell software (Studio 5000, Logix Designer, RSLogix platforms)
HMI/OIT development experience with Wonderware, FactoryTalk, VTScada, Ignition, or similar
Experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc, Universal Robots, etc.)
Experience with industrial vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.)
Familiarity with common control system documentation (P&IDs, I/O lists, C&E matrices)
Understanding of instrumentation, end devices, and electrical interfaces
Experience with automation system start-up and commissioning
Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols
Experience with motor control systems and VFDs
Ability to travel locally to support client and project requirements
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Preferred
Automation system training, certification, or relevant field experience preferred
Experience with Ignition SCADA strongly preferred; Ignition Core Certification a plus
