Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders and technology teams to assess existing platforms and define architectural options aligned to business objectives
Analyze internally built systems and third-party tools to determine viability, improvement paths, or replacement strategies
Lead impact analysis efforts when introducing new platforms, identifying downstream effects across applications, integrations, and data flows
Develop and maintain solution-level architecture documentation that clearly communicates system relationships and technical direction
Ensure architectural decisions align with enterprise standards, risk management practices, and banking regulations
Serve as a trusted advisor during vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and platform selection initiatives
Provide architectural oversight during delivery to ensure consistency with approved designs and patterns
Contribute to governance forums and architectural review processes to promote consistency and reuse
Advocate for secure, resilient, and maintainable solutions across cloud-based and on-prem environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in application architecture, solution design, or senior-level software engineering roles
Hands-on experience working within financial services or banking environments
Strong background designing and assessing architectures within cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Demonstrated ability to evaluate system integrations, APIs, and data movement across complex application portfolios
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations common in banking and finance
Experience supporting modernization initiatives involving legacy platforms and emerging technologies
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Exposure to enterprise architecture methodologies or modeling tools
Background working in highly regulated environments with strong security requirements
Prior involvement in platform selection, vendor evaluation, or system replacement initiatives
