The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Grants and Contracts Management Analyst to assist in managing pre- and post-award activities for principal investigators within the College of Medicine Grants Management Office. The role involves ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines, updating support documentation, and participating in grant proposal creation and project close-out processes.

Responsibilities

Participate and assist in the management of selected pre- and post-award activities for assigned principal investigators (PIs)

Work closely with senior level team members in following established procedures

Identify and report noncompliance with sponsor guidelines, such as effort requirements and allowable expenditures

Update PI current and pending other support documentation within the timeframe identified using various university systems

Assist with the completion of annual progress reports

Participate in pre- and post-grant award activities with training on pre- or post-specialization

Assist with the creation of proposals and coordinate with other internal staff

Locate relevant materials, format and edit documents, draft budgets, and adhere to internal and sponsor time limits

Compile statistical, financial, or accounting data for post-award activities

Review expenses for compliance using approved budget and initiate cost transfers as necessary

Review and prepare projects for close-out

Attend training as necessary and perform additional duties as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

2 years of relevant grant or contract management experience

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, including the ability to create formulas and recognize errors in formulas

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks under deadline pressure

Solid communication skills and ability to clearly explain status, concerns, and possible solutions to customers

Preferred

Certified Research Administrator or Certified Financial Research Administrator certification
