Responsibilities
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
Oversee daily general ledger activities
Conduct financial analysis of key metrics and generate reports to support management decisions
Prepare (and review) journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
Provide ad-hoc support to Division and Segment leadership
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Coordinate and assist with internal / external audit requests
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Assist with developing and carrying out process improvement initiatives
Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle R12)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
CPA or CMA certification
