Responsibilities

Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses
Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization
Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes
Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork
Continuously update and document skills and knowledge
Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations
Set personal goals to support departmental objectives
Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines
Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork

Qualification

Required

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required
Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required

Preferred

Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency and PGY2 in Internal Medicine, Pharmacotherapy, Ambulatory Care or relevant clinical experience is preferred
Board Certification is preferred
Previous mentorship of pharmacy residents is preferred
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Possesses strong organizational and leadership skills
Takes self-initiative to innovate and collaborate with team members
